About the Centre

STUDENTS SERVICES CENTRE (SSC) of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut for mental and emotional wellbeing, has been established as an important component of the University's student-support system. University life is a period of significant academic, personal, social and professional transition. Students may encounter challenges related to academic pressure, examination stress, emotional adjustment, interpersonal relationships, homesickness, financial or family concerns, career uncertainty and other personal circumstances. The SSC aims to provide students with an accessible and supportive platform where they can discuss their concerns and receive appropriate guidance. The Centre promotes a student-centred, empathetic, confidential and non-judgmental approach. It facilitates counselling and guidance services and, wherever necessary, supports students in accessing qualified professionals or specialized services. The Centre also undertakes awareness programmes, workshops, wellness initiatives and student-development activities aimed at strengthening resilience, confidence, life skills and healthy coping mechanisms.
