Centre of Excellence in Agri-Biotechnology

Founded on October 02, 2000, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Modipuram, Meerut has come a long way to cater the needs of the farmers. Established with a vision to serve the farmers and for the cause of agriculture, this university has spread the gospel and brought prosperity all around. Presently the university has College of Agriculture, College of Biotechnology and College of Veterinary Sciences. This is the only State Agricultural University which has established College of Biotechnology to serve the society with great academic potential and value added researches in various technological disciplines. The College of Biotechnology offers B. Tech. & M. Tech. Biotechnology courses.
In order to produce skilled human resources in Agriculture Biotechnology, Centre of Excellence in Agriculture Biotechnology was established in the College of Biotechnology with financial assistance from Council of Science & Technology, Uttar Pradesh in the year 2010. The centre has been exclusively involved in research & human resource development in the field of Agriculture Biotechnology.
