About NEP

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 Cell at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut is committed to implementing the vision and objectives of the National Education Policy 2020 across the University. The Cell acts as a coordinating body for promoting academic excellence, innovation, and institutional development in line with national educational reforms. The Cell facilitates the adoption of multidisciplinary and holistic education, outcome-based learning, skill enhancement, research and innovation, digital integration, and student-centric teaching practices. It also supports academic flexibility through initiatives such as the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), vocational education, and experiential learning opportunities. Through workshops, seminars, faculty development programmes, and awareness campaigns, the NEP 2020 Cell promotes capacity building among students, faculty, and staff. It encourages the integration of Indian Knowledge Systems, ethical values, environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship, and employability skills into the academic framework. By fostering collaboration among stakeholders and promoting continuous improvement in teaching, learning, research, and extension activities, the NEP 2020 Cell strives to transform SVPUAT into a progressive, inclusive, and globally competitive institution dedicated to excellence in agricultural education and nation-building.
