In Uttar Pradesh, due to availability of unemployed rural youth as man power, cheap raw materials and climate, mushroom production should be very useful in districts under SVPUA&T, Meerut as major portion comes near N.C.R. Delhi. This will be easier to approach the market for mushroom. It will help to generate self employment. Therefore, it is desirable to provide technical support in form of training as well as demonstrations of production technologies of different mushrooms and their spawn through proposed project.
