About the Department

The Department of Dairy Engineering is dedicated to advancing technology and innovation in dairy processing and equipment design. The department faculty is currently engaged in teaching Dairy Engineering courses of B. Tech. Dairy Technology program. The aim of teaching dairy engineering is to make the students familiar with the equipments and machinery used in dairy and food industry for processing of milk and milk products. Mission of this department is to develop manpower with excellence in dairy engineering knowledge. Apart from teaching undergraduate course this department is also engaged in research, extension and training in field of dairy engineering. Thrust areas of this department are new engineering interventions, process mechanization for value added dairy products, development of equipments for traditional dairy products. By quality research and fostering industry collaborations, the Department faculty aims to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of dairy technology and empowering skilled professionals to drive progress in the sector.
