About the Department

The Department of Dairy Technology at the College of Post Harvest Technology and Food Processing is dedicated to advancing dairy science and technology in India. The department aims to be a global leader in dairy technology education and research, focusing on quality education, innovative research and partnering with national and international organizations to enhance dairy production and processing. Faculty at the department of dairy technology offers courses in Dairy Technology for B. Tech Dairy Technology program as per ICAR 5th and 6th Dean Committee guidelines. The department provides hands-on training in milk processing, product manufacturing along with the scientific perspectives. The knowledge sharing is not limited to students; but is offered to professionals, farmers, and entrepreneurs through training programs, workshops, seminars and consultancies; aimed at promoting best practices, and supporting the growth of the dairy sector.
